Our aim is to work hand-in-hand with you to service and promote your practice, whilst delivering success to your patients.

CDIC offers care on a referral basis to complement the skills of general dental practitioners from across Scotland. Our area of special interest is in the field of Implantology, and reconstructive dentistry. Our main clinic is located in Crieff, Perthshire, we are within 90 minutes’ drive from 90% of the population of Scotland. We also have satellite clinics in Aberdeen and Aviemore.

Our services

The advances in dental implantology over the last few years have simplified what was once an extremely complex discipline, making the prosthetic procedures well within the capabilities of any GP confident with normal crown- and bridge-work. The overarching service we provide is to enable you to integrate Implantology within your whole practice and to benefit from the satisfaction of this rewarding clinical work.

Referring dentists have the option of a complete service, from treatment planning right through to the delivery of a completed case. Or alternatively, the option of getting involved in restorative implant dentistry.

Treatment Planning

‘What are the options for this patient?’ Is often the question that perplexes us. As part of our referral service, we make use of our OPT, CT scanner, dental technicians and comprehensive consultation assessment to explore the patient’s options. We then formulate and develop these into treatment plans that are comprehensively explained, consented to and signed.

Facilities
We have a dedicated three-surgery implant referral clinic equipped with OPT, CT scanner and onsite digital laboratory, all staffed by our highly qualified, specifically implant-trained professionals.

Teamwork
We provide our partner dentists with regular study club evenings and training events. Our clinical training and mentoring programme will accredit, equip, encourage and support you in all phases of the restoration process. Laboratory

If you are referring a patient to us for implant work and restoring the patient’s smile yourself, we can offer you the full services and support of our laboratory: smile analysis, diagnostic wax-ups and occlusal design and assessments, full crown and bridge production and of course implant restorations. Our laboratory service is also available out with the referral process for non-implant crown and bridge services (see lab docket below).

Digital dentistry
We have been at the forefront of the profession when it comes to digital technology. Initially, as a testing panel for the profession, we were the first clinic in Scotland to introduce the iTero intra-oral laser scanner. We have also added the 3 Shape scanner to the clinic to allow us to scan and record the teeth and implants in amazing detail, improving accuracy while removing the need for impressions.

In the laboratory, we have installed cutting edge Zirkon Zahn technology to complement our other CAD-CAM systems. This includes computer design, 5+1 axis computer milling and the production of the fullest range of restorations and abutments in-house. The fully monolithic Zirkon Zahn bridges and crowns are particularly exciting to see, we have been astounded by the aesthetic quality and accuracy of these restorations.
