Dr Bruce McKenzie Strickland
BDS DipImpDent RCS (Eng)
GDC Number: 66125
Bruce is passionate about educating and treating patients to enable them to keep their teeth for life, not just patching what has broken but also treating the cause of the problem, thus restoring patients to dental health. He has made this focus the centre of the Care Dental’s ethos.
His own field of expertise is within implant dentistry, and as part of his continuing professional studies, he has completed his postgraduate diploma with the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He has been placing dental implants within the practice for the last 12 years.
When Bruce has nothing else to do he will occasionally be found lecturing with the International Team of Implantology and coaching his referring dentists, through care dental in-house mentoring programme. When he is really kicking his heels you may see him on his bike cycling the Crieff countryside.
Keith Munro McFarlane
GDC Number: 76411
Keith has been working with Care Dental since the very start in Crieff in 2001. He has developed his clinical interests over this time by attending various post-graduate courses in advanced restorative dentistry and facial aesthetics.
The skills he has learned through this training allows him to deliver a huge range of treatments to his patients from simple fillings to more complex crown and bridge work, implant restorations and rejuvenating, anti-ageing facial aesthetic treatments.
Keith is also very skilled in dealing with the more anxious dental patient and finds this incredibly satisfying.
He has been known to have the occasional break from dentistry in Crieff and have a busmans holiday in Peru, working with The Vine Trust, delivering medical and dental p/33-aid to some of the remote areas of the Amazonian rainforest.
Getting married and having family has taken him on very different, but no less exciting, adventures!
Graeme Iain Bacchus
GDC Number: 113695
Graeme is our assistant clinical director at Care Dental. He joined the team after graduating from Dundee University in 2007.
Since then he has devoted much of his time to furthering his expertise in Restorative and Implant Dentistry. This includes a 1 year certificate course with the British Academy of Restorative Dentistry (BARD) in 2010, going on to pass the certificate examination in 2011. He has also competed a 2 year Advanced Restorative and Implant Dentistry Course in 2014-2015. Graeme has recently embarked on a 5 year Implant Scholarship Programme to enable him to provide implants for his patients.
Graeme has a special interest in occlusion (the mechanics of the jaw and teeth) and the treatment of bruxism (tooth grinding) – being a suffer of this himself. This includes the treatment of advanced tooth wear and occlusal rehabilitation.
He also shows a flair for cosmetic dentistry, and works in partnership with our on-site team of dental technicians and our cutting edge, digital dental laboratory. This facility enables us to provide truly bespoke restorations and ensure our patients’ expectations are always met.
When he is not working in the practice or on training courses Graeme likes to keep active. He can be found enjoying a walk with his two dogs, on his bike training for the next sportive, planning which Munro to tackle next or catching up with friends on the golf course.
